My journey with the Cane Corso began in 1997, and I can honestly say that it was love at first sight.
At that time, we welcomed our first Cane Corso into our family, a beautiful female named Luna. She was originally acquired as a family companion, but it did not take long for her to become much more than a pet. Luna became a true and deeply loved member of our family.
Sadly, in 2007, after many wonderful years together, we lost Luna due to old age and illness. Her passing was difficult, but it never changed our love for the breed. Quite the opposite — it made us even more certain that the Cane Corso would remain an important part of our lives.
Our next step in this journey brought us Zahur Custodi Nos and Gaia Del Rosso Malpelo. Both were beautiful, high-quality representatives of the breed and achieved numerous titles and excellent results at dog shows. More importantly, they strengthened our belief in the importance of preserving the true character, structure and identity of the Cane Corso.
As our passion and experience continued to grow, in 2010 we made the decision to officially establish ourselves as breeders. Corso Di Munteanu Kennel was officially registered with the FCI in 2010 under kennel number FCI 5074 – Serbia.
From the very beginning, our breeding philosophy has been clear: to preserve and improve the true Cane Corso.
For us, the Cane Corso is not simply a large dog or a show dog. It is a powerful, functional, balanced and intelligent breed, with correct structure, sound movement, strong character and the unmistakable expression that defines the true Cane Corso.
Our goal is to breed dogs that combine health, correct anatomy, stable temperament, functionality and breed type, while respecting the history, purpose and original identity of this noble Italian breed.
My Journey as an FCI Judge
In 2012, another important chapter of my journey began when I became an FCI judge, with a particular specialization and deep involvement in the Cane Corso breed.
Since then, I have had the privilege of judging numerous important Cane Corso specialty shows, club shows and international events throughout Europe and around the world.

Cane Corso Championship – Brazil
and many other important Cane Corso specialty shows and events internationally.
Judging has given me the opportunity to meet and evaluate Cane Corsos from many different bloodlines and breeding programs around the world. It has also allowed me to continuously expand my knowledge and understanding of the breed, while meeting breeders, exhibitors and Cane Corso enthusiasts from many countries.
After almost three decades devoted to this breed, the Cane Corso remains for me much more than a profession or a hobby. It is a passion, a way of life and a responsibility.
Through Corso Di Munteanu, my aim is to continue contributing to the preservation and development of the Cane Corso as a healthy, balanced, functional and unmistakable breed — respecting its history while looking toward its future.
The Cane Corso is not simply a dog we breed. It is a breed we respect, protect and dedicate our lives to.
